A day before round 2 in Charlotte on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, White's status on the Celtics remained uncertain. The Cs guard took a hit to the head and neck area with 7:55 left in the first quarter, forcing him to the sideline. Bam Adebayo accidentally elbowed White in the head while biting on an upfake, and White remained down. The Boston Celtics shared an encouraging update on White a day after he suffered a neck injury against the Heat.
The Spurs have removed guard Derrick White from their injury report, indicating his potential return. White could only shake his head in disbelief as he flicked his wrist and repeatedly tried to regain his composure after the hit in the Heat game.
